Short biography

Lara Ilaria Braconi (Milan, 1992) is an Italian visual artist whose work explores painting as a porous and transformable structure. She completed a three-year degree in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, and continued her studies at the Academies of Warsaw and Prague, the Albertina Academy in Turin and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. In 2017, she held her first solo exhibition, Inverno. Through assemblages, cuts, layering and shaped surfaces, her practice oscillates between painting, object and installation.
In the spring of 2026, she lived and worked in Saint-Maurice, near the Bois de Vincennes in Paris, where she developed a new body of work centred on transparency, fragility and plant structures.
She lives and works between Italy and France.
